That is really the big theme of the ending. But The Dad knew that she did not belong in our world and knew that he had to let her go. Understandably, Rainbow Dash was upset and did not want to Equestira. Now as for the ending, it was bittersweet to say the least. Trying to explain how Rainbow Dash got to our world. So yeah, that is perhaps the only real issue I have with the story. So, we are here to retrieve her, simple enough I'd imagine." Rainbow Dash was unfortunate enough to be within reach of the blast, and it engulfed her and sent her to, well, here. Well, they made slightly too large of a storm, and when Twilight used her magic to try and dispel it, it shot a lightning bolt meeting her magic. I'll let the story explain this.Īhem, she was working on a spell to help the weather team with some storm development. Now I should mention that this story takes place over the span of 15 years in our world, which turns out to be 15 days in Equestira. The ending culminates in the inevitable when Princess Celestia and the rest of the Mane 5 come to our world to take Rainbow Dash back home to Equestira. Huh, figures that Dashie would be into NASCAR. But this story is filled with a lot of happy moments such as Rainbow Dash learning how to fly, or learning how to write using her mouth or her Dad taking her to a NASCAR race. Now it is not all happy as there is conflict such as The Dad (as I'll be calling him) does something that I personally don't agree with, he hides the existence of the cartoon from Rainbow Dash and she discovers it on her own and is hurt, rightfully so. He is attracted to the box but doesn't know why and in it, he finds a filly Rainbow Dash and from there, it is just snapshots of their life together as he raises Rainbow Dash as his daughter. Well, one day while walking home from work, he takes a different route and finds a box. He makes mention of how he is a Brony and Rainbow Dash is his favorite character and had wanted a Rainbow Dash plush. At the beginning of this story, I was not a fan of this character as he just seemed so mopey. Just a regular old job, his neighborhood is all but deserted. It is about a young man who really has nothing going for him in his life. So now that we have that all of this out of the way, let's begin the review. Not the level of some of the other fans though, I didn't cry after reading it as that has been a common occurrence for many readers this story but I did get a little misty eyed. But I decided to give it a chance and the first time, I read it, I had a feeling of "Eh, it's okay" but I went back and re read it and during the second reading, I did enjoy it more. Why? Simply because I had no interest in reading stories where human and ponies interacted with each other. I had actually never intended to read this story. Now let's also talk about my history with this particular story.
